Behind the Lens

Hi, I am Taylor.

I am the owner and creator of Taylor Lester Photography located in beautiful Greenville, VA. I am a wife and momma of two precious kiddos. I never really grew out of the horse loving phase. So, if you don’t see me running around with my little ones, I am usually in the barn. My background as a competitive equestrian has given me a unique perspective when it comes to photography whether it is the first blue ribbon a little one receives in lead line or a senior graduating high school. As a photographer, I cherish capturing life as we live it…the smiles…the tears…the laughs…the moments that often go unnoticed… and I strive to photograph the beauty that I see for every one of my clients. I know how hard it is to be in front of the camera, that’s why it is my goal that each of my clients have a space where they can be themselves and enjoy all the memories you are making. 

My love for photography came from my grandpa. It was always fantasizing how he would capture every detail on a bee as it sat on a flower or freeze a galloping horse in time. When I was around 6 years old, my grandpa let me take photos with his "fancy" camera. Of course, I thought I was all that because instead of using one of those disposable cameras, I got to use his Nikon. Well now it is going on 18+ years later and here I am following my dream with a camera in my hand. 

Whether it be a snapshot from an iPhone or a professional print, I believe that a single photo can change your mood and that’s what I want to provide to each of my clients. Photography is my passion and I pour my heart into every session I take on. As a momma, wife, daughter, and sister, I know how precious every moment is.
